Vacancy: Principal Architect I
Vacancy circular no. 31 of 2013
Salary: D2 (210 180-232 056) per annum
Leave: 30 working days per annum
Benefits: optional contributory medical aid scheme government pays 50% and employee 50%. Pension fund government pays 15% and employee 5%.
Scarce skill allowance 40%
Requirements: degree ion architecture
Experience: at least 10 years relevant work experience, two years of which must have been served as principal architecture II at D3 scale, or equivalent scale in parastatals or private sector.

Duties
• Coordinates information from other professionals and ensure that is incorporated for comprehensive design/plans such that the final physical structure does not have defects
• Manages and directs the architecture and services division to ensure efficient and effective implementation of building projects.
• Develops service standards, regulations and guidelines to guide the implementation of projects for effective service delivery
• Provides professional advice on architecture and building issues to key stakeholders
• Supervises the enforcement of building control act to ensure the private developers comply with the building standards and codes.
