Provision of Catering Services at Sir Seretse Khama Barracks Main Kitchen for a Period of Three Year

Tender offers are invited for an open domestic competitive bidding for the Provision of Catering Services at Sir Seretse Khama Barracks Main Kitchen for a Period of Three Years. A minimum of one thousand five hundred (1500) soldiers as per the terms of reference enclosed in the Tender Data will be catered for. The services to be provided by the successful bidder will include preparation and serving of meals at Sir Seretse Khama Barracks main kitchen to the client base as mentioned. It is the responsibility of the service provider to remove refuse, provide skip on site and dispose refuse.
Bidders who are to be considered for award of the contract should be appropriately licensed to trade and/or supply the services tendered for and be in possession of a PPADB Registration Certificate of Code: 101, Sub-Code: 03 according to the laws of Botswana. The Presidential Directive CAB 11 (A)/2010 on Economic Diversification Drive (EDD) as per savingram on the guidelines on the promotion of local procurement through preference margins based on the Turnover Thresholds shall be implemented in the evaluation of the tender.
A non-refundable deposit of P1, 100.00 payable in cash or by bank guaranteed cheque made out in favour of the Government of Botswana is required on collection of the Tender Documents. Payment should be made to the Revenue Collector at Corps of Food Services - Finance Office. Proof of payment will be required on collection of the Tender Document(s).
The physical address for collection of Tender Documents is: Corps of Food Services, Botswana Defence Force, Sir Seretse Khama Barracks, Mogoditshane. Documents may be collected during working hours between 08:00 and 16:00 with effect from 22 July to 21 August 2013. Queries relating to the issue of these documents may be addressed in writing to: Captain R. Nthibo, Corps of Food Services, Sir Seretse Khama Barracks (SSKB), P. O. Box 1141, Mogoditshane, Telephone No. +267 3662926, Fax No. +267 3953600, fourteen (14) days before the tender closing date.
There will be a compulsory site inspection of premises and clarification meeting at Sir Seretse Khama Barracks, Main Kitchen on 6 August 2013. The venue is located in Mogoditshane, along Molepolole/Gaborone Road.
Names and addresses of bidders should be reflected on the envelopes. A two (2) envelope procedure will be followed. Bids must be submitted as follows: The bid response shall be submitted in separate envelopes clearly marked "Technical and Financial Proposal" respectively. The envelopes should contain two (2) originals and two (2) copies of the originals securely sealed and labelled: "Tender No. STB 004/2013-2014 - A Three Year Service Contract for the Provision of Catering Services to the Botswana Defence Force at Sir Seretse Khama Barracks, Mogoditshane". The outer large envelope shall be addressed to: The Board Secretary, Public Procurement and Asset Disposal Board, Private Bag 0058, Gaborone and delivered to: Plot No. 8913, Maakgadigau Way, Gaborone West Industrial Area, Gaborone, Botswana. The original must be marked "Original" and copies marked "Copy". The closing time for receipt of Tender Documents is 10:00 on 21 August 2013. Tender offers received after 10:00 of the closing date and telephonic, faxed or emailed submissions will not be accepted. Late tenders will be rejected and returned unopened to bidders.
The Public Procurement and Asset Disposal Board's Standardised Conditions of Tender apply to this procurement, for which all the applicable Tender Data is contained in the Tender Documents. Notwithstanding anything in the foregoing, the Government of Botswana is not bound to accept the lowest or any tender offer, nor incur any expenses in the preparation thereof.
