Tender offers are invited for the Design and Supervision of an Effluent Water Irrigation Scheme and Associated Pump Station at Palapye. The tender is for design and supervision of an effluent water irrigation scheme. The sump and pump station will be situated between the Palapye Wastewater Treatment Plant and the irrigation plot. The water conveyance pipeline and pump station will allow pumping from treatment plant to the 29 hectare irrigation plot, in Palapye, Republic of Botswana.
Tender offers are invited from consultants registered with PPADB in the following category: Code: 303, Sub-Code: 08 and 09. Potential bidders shall, in order to be considered for award of tender for the design and supervision of irrigation infrastructure, be able to design, supervise construction and show ability to undertake work with adherence to the best Engineering Standards in accordance with the laws of Botswana, BOBS, SABS and conditions of tender stated in the Tender Document
Payment of Tender Documents shall be made at Second Floor, Office No. 225 and 217 at a non-refundable fee of P1100.00 payable in cash.
The physical address for collection of Tender Documents is: Ministry of Agriculture, Department of Crop Production, Office No. 225 and 217, Second Floor. Documents may be collected during working hours between 08:00 and 16:00 with effect from 12 July 2013. Mapitse, Telephone No. +267 3689366/99 ten (10) working days before the tender closing.
A compulsory site visit will be conducted on 1 August 2013 at 09:30 at Palapye. Bidders must assemble at the District Agricultural Office by 09:30 for site visit.
One (1) original and six (6) copies of the Tender Document in a sealed envelope package marked: "Tender No. MoA/MTC/DCP/PT 37 2013/2014 - Design and Supervision of Palapye Wastewater Irrigation Scheme", shall be delivered to: The MTC Secretary's office, Ministry of Agriculture, Room No. 15, Ground Floor, Headquarters. One (1) copy must be marked "Original" and will be retained by MTC for cross-reference purposes. The closing time for receipt of tender offers shall be 10:00 on 23 August 2013, when tenders will be immediately opened in the presence of bidders or their representatives willing to attend. Late tender offers will not be accepted. Telegraphic, telex, telephonic or emailed tender offers will not be considered.
Notwithstanding anything in the foregoing, the DCP is not bound to accept the lowest or any tender offer. The tenderer shall bear the costs for the preparation of the tender.
