We are a regional development agency recently established as a company to drive the development of the SPEDU region by facilitating sustainable economic growth and diversification. The company’s mission is to stimulate the economic prosperity of the region to ensure competitiveness of business, job creation and vibrant communities.

We seek a dynamic and entrepreneurial chief executive officer to provide visionary leadership and strategic direction to the company; you will be accountable for coordinating the implementation of the regional economic development strategy of the SPEDU Region and managing this value creating company. The strategy is the roadmap for transforming the region into a hub of economic diversification.

The position is based in Selebi Phikwe and you will report to the Chairperson of the board of directors.

If you are the person we looking for you will be a self starter, strategic thinker, high performance team leader with proven superior leadership and management abilities. The successful candidates will be business oriented and results focused with superior competencies for managing resources, risk, projects, change and stakeholder relationships. The CEO will work with other key stakeholders to attract new business to the region whilst developing proactive strategies to retain and expand existing businesses.

The position is also accountable for the prudent and risk competent management of SPEDU resources, including financial, human, material or others.

?At least 10 years professional experience, of which 5 years was in a senior executive position.
?Degree in Economics ,business management, strategic management, investment planning or equivalent discipline from a recognized tertiary institution.
?A masters Degree in Economics, business management or related field will be an added advantage
?Membership of an internationally recognized professional institute
?Successful track record in a project and/or programme management environment
?Excellent knowledge of strategic decision making
?Ability to provide strategic leadership to a team of professionals
?Ability to identify, grow and maintain a network of key stakeholders.
