Farm Manager
We are seeking an experienced Farm Manager for the day-to-da management of our horticulture farm located in Francistown. The position reports to the Board of Directors of NOKA Farm.

This exciting role requires a hands-on approach to manage and oversee all aspects of the farm, from crop planning and performance to pack house operations. The candidate must be a team player who is flexible and has strong management skills. Accountability, integrity and honesty must be essential values.

Key responsibilities
?Participate in design and implement crop plans consistent with market demands
?Liaise with relevant experts (agronomists, seed and chemical provides) and general suppliers with a view of maximizing yields).
?Maximize crop yields and performance in balance with ensuring optimal management on daily, weekly and annual basis.
?Ensure adequate maintenance of implements and other farming assets.
?Interact with management on key issues that may arise from time to time
?Advise on best farming techniques t be deployed given resources available from time to time
?Manage supervise and train field workers and packing staff
?Organize and supervise chemical applications weeding crop protection and yields enhancements programmes.
?Understand and work towards production targets and manage budget
?Execute the instructions of the Board of Directors from time to time.

Requirements
?a minimum of 10 years experience in farm operations
?tertiary qualifications in agriculture
?experience qualifications in chemical handling
?a solid understanding of maintenance operations
?good computer /communication skills
Packages:
A salary package commensurate with experience and qualifications will be negotiated for the right applicant.
