Relationship Manager
Accountable for a defined portfolio of clients, integrating and coordinating all the bank’s products, services and resources in order to maximize the value of the business relationship and to ensure profitability for the bank and the client in line with the bank’s policy.
Minimum qualifications, experience, knowledge & skills
• Commerce degree or equivalent
• IOB qualification will be an added advantage
• Five (5) years banking experience, specifically in the business banking environment
• At least three (3) years experience in the credit environment
• A good knowledge and understanding of banking financial services mechanisms and entire range of products and services useful to corporate organizations, with knowledge of their mechanisms, clients benefits, limitations, profitability to the value in developing strategically long term business relationships
• Excellent oral and written communication skills
• Knowledge of relationship management principles and practices
• Team goal structuring and planning skills
• The ability to work independently and under pressure
• Proficiency in computer applications (word and excel)
• A conceptual understanding of business mission and strategy, as well as the performance implications of this strategy with regard to market success
• Knowledge and understanding of the best operating practices specific to the business
• The ability to match client and product knowledge to identify cross selling opportunities and/or to pre-empt clients financial and business needs
• Excellent calculation skills
• Self confidence and interpersonal skills
• Excellent leadership and people management skills
• The ability to handle confidential information
