The following position has become available at Aveng Moolmans:
Position: Maintenance Planner
Key performance areas (duties and responsibilities):
• Monitor plant availability and utilization
• Compilation of plant budget
• Update and maintain machine records, including component change-out records serial numbers, breakdowns, warranty etc.
• Ensure that plant inspections are being done and adhered to
• Supply plant manager with components due for change-out and periodic forecasts of components
• Coordinate oil sampling/analysis/wear checks
• Make plant analysis including, oil and break-down prevalence
• Liaise with the suppliers t ensure timeous delivery and after sales backup.
Minimum requirements:
• Diploma in Mechanical or industrial engineering or NCC, N3 or equivalent in Heavy plant Mechanics
• Plant maintenance experience in a heavy earthmoving plant environment
• Knowledge of cost saving methods in a mining environment
• Good computer skills, especially Microsoft excel reports
• 3 years experience in plant budgeting
• Coordination skills
