Quality Administrator
Purpose:
To administer the planning, implementation and operation of Air Botswana’s quality management system (QMS) using the Q-Pulse system. To manage the quality management system by monitoring compliance with and adequacy of procedures required to ensure safe operational practices and airworthy aircraft. To ensure assurance of regulatory compliance by conducting oversight activities in all operational areas to ensure that operations are conducted in accordance with conditions and restrictions of the Air operator Certificate (AOC) and in compliance with all applicable regulations, CAAB, ICAO,IOSA and company standards.

General responsibilities
To verify ,by monitoring activity in the fields of flight operation, maintenance, crew training, ground and cargo operations, that the standards required by the Authority, CAAB ,IOSA standards and recommended practices and any additional requirements are being carried out under the supervision of the relevant required management personnel. The quality manager is responsible for ensuring that the quality assurance programme is properly established, implemented and maintained.
Key performance Areas
1. Responsible for Air Botswana quality management system in terms of organization and training.
2. Responsible for investigating any hazards which may constitute a danger to an Air Botswana flight, infrastructure, staff members, third party service providers or customers.
3. Responsible for managing Air Botswana reputation in terms of public perception by reducing its exposure to the effects of appropriate, ineffective or illegal activities.
4. Guidelines and resources for safety oversight
5. Advisory and information services on all engineering issues.
6. Investigation of accidents, incidents and hazards
7. Production of operational manuals and related documentation and reference manuals.
8. Safety assurance and emergency response programmes
9. Monitoring of service level agreements.
10. Manage the company Audit schedule uing Q-Pulse system or equivalent.
Requirements
The successful candidate will be an IOSA Trained Auditor with proven exposure to Aviation quality, safety and general management. He/she will be a pilot or an Aircraft licensee engineer with more than 10 years experience including quality and safety. The candidate will have undergone an ICAO approved QMS course or equivalent and gained a qualifications.

Membership to relevant professional body would be an advantage.

A minimum of 8 years professional experience which includes 5 years in an Auditing or quality environment with IOSA accreditation and 3 years at Management level is required.
IOSA and ISAGO train and considerable exposure to IOSA certification process proven experience in the Aviation environment and proven knowledge of Aviation Legislation and ICAO Annexes ARE NECESSARY Attributes.
