Botswana Ash (PTY) LTD is a soda Ash and salt producing company situated at Sua Pan in Botswana, approximately 180km by tarred road northwest of Francistown. The company employs over 500 employees of which close to 300 are unionized. Employees and their families live in Sowa town, about 20km from the plant site. The town boasts of recreational facilities, which include restaurant, tennis, squash, swimming and golf. There is also an excellent English medium pre-primary, primary and secondary school as well as public primary and junior secondary schools.

Position: Fabrication Foreman
Job summary
To coordinate a cost effective fabrication and maintenance function on the plant and maintain acceptable standards of safety, plant availability and work man ship in all areas responsibility.

Requirements
• Ideally “O” levels plus national craft certificate with 8 years post qualification experience in heavy industrial plant environment of which 2 years should have been at supervisory capacity
• Knowledge of structural steel work, fabrication, erection, pressure vessels, high – pressure
• Steam line repairs and estimation are essentials
• Knowledge of computerized maintenance management system e.g. DMS 2000, syspro, BOAS
• Proficiency in MS word and excel.
