Sales and Marketing Manager
An exciting opportunity has arisen at Botswana innovation Hub; innovation is happening here, come and join us as the sales and marketing manager. This position reports to two directors: marketing, registration and ICT Director as well as facilities and property development director.
Your main responsibilities will be:
• Managing sales and marketing of the company’s products and services in within a defined geographic area, locally and internationally.
• Ensuring consistent, profitable growth in sales revenues through positive planning, deployment and management of sales personnel and strategies
• Identifying objectives, strategies and action plans to improve short and long term sales and earnings.
Your key results areas will include the following:
• Collaborating with the CEO and executive management in establishing and recommending the most realistic sales goals for the company
• Managing an assigned geographic sales area or product line to maximize sales revenues and meet corporate objectives
• Doing sales and marketing follow ups on key property development and ICT accounts
• Monitoring and reviewing Hub’s marketing and sales strategies and policies and makes recommendations for the adoption of strategies which will optimize the BIH delivery of its mandate
Academic requirements and experience
• A university degree in marketing or business studies is preferred; or a minimum of seven years of related experience or training in property and real estate industry, ICT, or any service industry sector; or the equivalent combination of formal education and experience.
• Problem solving and analytical skills to interpret sales performance and market trend information and 4P marketing mix.
• Proven ability to motivate and lead the sales performance and marketing team.
• Experience in developing marketing and sales strategies.
• Excellent oral, presentation and written communication skills
• Master’s degree or MBA will be an added advantage
• Membership to a professional body will be added advantage.
Other requirements
• Valid driver’s license
• Good knowledge of Microsoft office suite
