Study Physician
Botswana Harvard Aids Institute Partnership seeks to recruit an assertive, result oriented, strategic thinker, with good interpersonal skills and keen interest in research to fill in the position of a study physician within the partnership.
Duties and responsibilities
The incumbent will be expected to:
• Participate in the day to day conduct of the clinical study consistent with good clinical practice and regulatory requirements
• Provide and participate in all patient care clinical activities
• Provide and maintain research records, data and reports
• Participate in data quality management
• Supervise the clinical study team at assigned study site or area
• Participate in the development of protocols, operations and research procedures
• Participate in the developments of training materials and in training of research staff
• Participate in community awareness on research protocols
Required skills and qualification
• Bachelor of medicine and surgery
• KITSO training or HIV/ARV related training course
• Further experience of active management of HIV/AIDS patients, HAART prescribing and involvement in HIV clinical research will be added advantage
