Assistant Manager: Legal Collections
Responsible for effective debt collections and court appearances on behalf of the bank and monitoring the bank’s external; attorneys to ensure that they carry out the outsourced duties diligently and timeously thus minimizing the bank’s credit losses in line with the bank’s lending and collection policies, as well as effective people management .
Minimum qualifications, experience, knowledge & skills:
• A legal qualification (LLB) and should be an admitted legal practitioner by the law society of Botswana
• Four (4) years experience in legal collections with supervisory experience
• Must be familiar with asset recovery/disposal and bankruptcy proceedings
• Sound operational collection experience
• Excellent knowledge of computers, web-based applications and MS Office
• Banking experience will be an added advantage
• Leadership and people management
• Excellent written and oral communication skills
• Dynamic, enthusiastic, energetic
• Promote effective teamwork and deal effectively with conflict situations
• Innovative
• Ability to think strategically
• Planning and organizing skills
