Tender offers are invited for the supplies contract for the Procurement of Botswana Defence Force Caps.
This tender is reserved for domestic bidders only. Tender offers with appropriate PPADB registration certificate Code: 211 and Sub-Code: 04 (certified by PPADB) are invited to tender. Only those tenderers, who have been appropriately licensed to trade, manufacture and/or supply the items and are in possession of requisite documentation to import, manufacture and/or sell such items according to the laws of Botswana, will be considered. The Cabinet Directive CAB No. 11 (A) of 2010 on Economic Diversification Drive (EDD) as per guidelines on the diversification and stimulation of local economy through preference margins based on the turnover and thresholds shall be implemented in the evaluation of this tender. The successful bidder(s) will be required to abide by the undertakings given on the diversification and stimulation of 2010 published by Ministry of Trade and Industry. Bidders should be registered with Ministry of Trade and Industry and attach a certified copy of EDD certificate for eligibility to receive preference under this tender.
Documents may be collected during working hours from 08:00 to 16:00 on weekdays with effect from 22 July 2013 at a fee of P250.00 (non-refundable).

Names and addresses of bidders must be reflected on the outer envelope. Two (2) original Tender Documents plus seven (7) copies in a sealed envelope marked: “Tender No. DJS/ MTC/BDF/026/2013-2014 - Supplies Contract for the Procurement of Botswana Defence Force Caps”. Early tenders shall be delivered to: The Secretary, Ministerial Tender Committee, Ministry of Defence, Justice and Security, Central Business District, Plot No. 54381, Square House, Floor 4, Phase 2, Gaborone until Monday, 26 August 2013 at 16:30. Tenders submitted on the closing day shall be delivered to: The Secretary, Ministerial Tender Committee, Ministry of Defence, Justice and Security, Central Business District, Plot No. 54381, Square House, Floor 8, Phase 2, Gaborone. Originals must be marked "Original" 1 and 2 and one copy will be retained by MTC for references purposes. Two (2) original copies and seven (7) copies should be submitted. Tender Number and Title of the tender should be clearly written on the outside of the envelope. The closing time for receipt of tender offers is 09:00 on 27 August 2013. Late tender offers or samples will not be accepted.
The Public Procurement and Asset Disposal Board's Standardised Conditions of Tender apply to this procurement, for which all the applicable Tender Data is contained in the Tender Documents. Notwithstanding anything in the foregoing, the Government of Botswana is not bound to accept the lowest or any tender offer nor incur any expenses to the pre rations thereof.
