Therapeutic Radiographer
We require the service of a Radiation Therapist with a postgraduate qualification in Radiation Therapy.
Critical Outputs
• Conduct basic Radiation Therapist duties as allocated by the Manager or by Oncologies
• Give excellent patient and customer care in accordance with Life Healthcare standards
• Ensure and maintain all health, safety and infection control standards
• Simulation of patients in preparation for treatment
• Set –up and treatment of patients at Linear Accelerator.
• Familiarity with Quality Assurance of treatment processes
• Knowledge of treatment planning.
Requirements
• A minimum of 5 years post qualification experience in a busy Radiotherapy unit
• Must be registered with the Botswana Health Professionals Council
• Competencies required: Be able to work within the scope of practice
• Strong customer orientation, team player, very energetic, well organized
• Must be able to work under pressure in a constantly changing environment
• Knowledge in MOSAIQ system will be an added advantage
• Strong inter-personal skills required
• Must be willing to fulfill a role in the unit according to the flexi-hours system
Registration with professional Medical Council is a pre-requisite. The ideal candidates must be able to comfortably work as part of a team and must have at least 2-3 years experience in Radiation Oncology.
