Boteti Mining PTY Ltd operates the Karowe diamond mine in Letlhakane in the Boteti sub district. The plant was commissioned in April 2012 and is fully operational. As we gear up for the next phase of development, Karowe seeks to recruitment motivated and self-driven candidates to fill the following positions:
Occupational Health Nurse – tenable in Letlhakane, 3 year fixed term contract
Job summary
Reporting to the SHE & CR manager the occupational health nurse is responsible for implementing, coordinating and maintaining occupational health programmes and systems to ensure a comprehensive approach to preventative health promotion, monitoring and compliance to relevant legislation and company requirements
Effectiveness areas:
• Occupational, health procedures and standards development in line with the mine’s quality management protocols
• Occupational health risk assessment conducted to identify occupational health hazards generated by the various operational activities of the mine and provide advice on potential diseases.
• Implementation of mine-wide occupational surveillance initiatives to ensure that the mine compliance with policy and legislative requirements
• Compilation and maintenance of occupational health records.
• Occupational health training and awareness campaigns.
