Finance Manager

The job
The person will be responsible for among other things the following:
• Supervising a regional team of finance staff, based at Gaborone in Botswana.
• Training and mentoring of the team
• Monthly review of income statements and balance sheets for a region of wholesale cash and carry stores
• Investigation and follow up of outstanding issues and recording differences.
• Direct communication with store managers, the regional manager, financial wholesale exec Africa and financial director
• Attendance at and presentations to regional meetings
• Monthly forecasting
• Annual budget preparation for the region
• Payroll
• Cash flow management
• Company secretarial
• Treasury function including forex

The person
The person is expected to meet the following minimum requirements:
• ACCA/CIMA or equivalent
• minimum of two year’s post qualification experience in an accounting environment
• experience in FMCG is critical
• The person must have a proven track record in managing people and leading teams and managing people.

• computer literate in Microsoft outlook, word and excel

• ability to motivate and coach staff members
• ability to multitask
• strong problem solving skills
