As a commercial Manager your role will be to assist the General Manager to oversee the strategic management of DHL services related activities. In addition the incumbent is responsible for driving TDI growth (TDI SPD,RPD, Market share), strengthening customer loyalty and retention, and creating a high performing sales organization to meet and exceed country revenue and profitability growth targets.
The following key capabilities/competencies are required: strategic thinker, numeric skills, strong analytical skills, effective communication skills/ interpersonal understanding , ability to influence and negotiate at senior level, customer orientation, achievement drive and initiative, excellent business/ commercial acumen, quality orientation, conceptual thinking, budgeting and cost controlling skills, presentation skills, project management, broad cross functional experience, building interpersonal relationships and global perspective.
Key requirements for the successful candidate are a high level degree in business or equivalent. Experience in successfully managing sales teams (ideally min 3 yrs). Minimum 5 years freight/logistics/ courier sales experience with proven exposure to the various mainstream functions (operations, security, HR, finance, aviation operations). Strong leadership skills. Excellent communication skills in English. Ability to work under pressure.
The position reports to the country manager with a dotted line to the sales director SSA. This is a challenging people management role in a highly pressurized environment.
