Legal Services Manager
To develop strategies aimed at improving niche business for Legal Guard in order to achieve profitability in the areas of claims management, litigation and recoveries.

Key responsibilities
?Direct the strategic objectives of the Legal services department for optimal client satisfaction through expedient claims settlement.
?Contribution to the overall company performance through negotiating for best rates to optimize savings.
?Contribute to the business strategy to support the overall business strategic intent.
?To plan and direct claims operations to assist the business in optimizations of returns while meeting client expectations
?Provide expert advice on contractual agreements and mobilize adoption of legally sound principles in claims management to foster value-add claims process to improve financial gains
?Investigates suspicious claims and take remedial action
?Provide technical inputs to the product development process with the sales and business development department
?Ensure effective relationship building with critical stake holders
?Analysis of monthly claims statistics to the General Manager, advice on effect and possible course of action and trends.
?Develop SLAs with service providers to maximize on quality service
Qualification
?LLB
?Admitted to practice Law in all the courts of Botswana
?Have a valid and current practicing certificate
Experience
?8 years post qualification litigation management experience
?Minimum 3 years at supervisory level
Skills and competencies
?Total appreciation of Judicial case management in the magistrates courts and high court
?Litigation experience in the industrial courts of Botswana
?Must have thorough knowledge of the Small Claims court
?People management and leadership
?Good understanding of insurance legislation and regulations including short term insurance Act
?Good knowledge of legal insurance products
