Coordinator – ICT
The ministry of Transport and communications exists to drive the development and utilization of information communication technologies and integrated transport services in Botswana.

Applications are invited from talented, decisive and self driven individual for the below-mentioned position under the Ministry of Transport and Communications tenable at Ministry Head quarters. Preference will be given to qualified citizens.

Main purpose of the job:
To coordinate all ICT activities for Government
Key performance areas:
1. Overall coordination of ICT Maitlamo Policy
2. Supervision of Department of information technology, department of Telecommunication and postal services and lead liaison person with e-Gov.office
3. Facilitate ICT Sub-HLCC meetings
4. BSB/Botswana Post Merger
5. BTC Privatization
6. advising and operation supervision of BTC,BOFINET,BOCRA and Botswana Post Operations
7. Participate in any activities that may require the coordinator (ICT) participation.

Qualifications:
Degree in IT or any relevant qualification.
Experience:
A minimum of eighteen years post qualification experience in the ICT filed, two of which should have been at managerial level, extensive knowledge of civil service structures, rules ad regulations is a must.

Salary scale: F1(P454 644 per annum)
Leave: 30 working days per annum
Benefits:
Optional contributory medical aid scheme (government pays 50% and employee pays 50%)
Appointment is on a fixed term contract of 24-36 months-(renewable) with gratuity payable at the end of the contract at the rate of 25% of the total amount of basic salary earned for the duration of the contract.
