Mercantile Insurance Brokers (Pty) Ltd registered and a licensed insurance broker has the following vacancy in the organization;
Principal Officer - Gaborone
This is a again a senior management posting in the organization which requires a mature, experienced and dedicated individual who is well experienced with sound knowledge of the insurance industry laws. The individual will be responsible liaising with the regulator on compliance with the laws governing the insurance. The incumbent will be required to ct as CEO in the absence of the Managing Director. In addition to this the candidate must possess the following skills; negotiating policy terms with insurers and reinsurers, setting out and designing insurance packages for clients as well as presenting same, provide service and advice on claims related matters, conduct risk surveys and prepare reports, must have knowledge in all classes of short term insurance, must be able to train and supervise line managers and staff, must be able to recruit and recommend promotion of staff, must be able to manage the credit control systems, a strategic planner, preparation of annual budgets, and managing company resources.
Position requirements;
• At last 20 years experience in a similar position or better with traceable operational and management experience
• The incumbent must possess IISA Associate ship of the Insurance Institute of South Africa (Chartered Insurance Practitioner)
• The age must be 40 years and above
• A clean class B driver’s license
