Applications are invited from suitably qualified citizens for the following vacancies tenable in the department of corporate services.

Vacancy circular number 9 of 2014
Vacancy: Records Manager I
Salary: C1 P123 168 PER ANNUM
LEAVE: 30 working days per annum
a) Optional contributory medical aid scheme (Government contributes 50% and employee contributes 50%)
b) Contributory pension (government contributes 155 and employee contributes 5% of salary).
Candidates should have at least a Bachelor ‘s degree in Archives and Records Management or Library and information studies.
A minimum of 4 years post qualification experience as records manager; 2 years of which should be at records manager II.
To monitor the implementation of records management standards and procedures
Among others:
• Guides customers on records management standards and procedures
• Conducts records management sensitization workshops for customers
• Attends to customer queries and requests
• Administers the customers satisfaction and records management surveys
• Analyses data for customer satisfaction and records management surveys
• Develops records retention and disposal schedule
• Conducts appraisals of semi-current records
• Provides guidance on the use of classification scheme and retention and disposal scheme.
• Verifies accession list of semi current record
• Prepares records management status reports
• Processes semi-current records received in the records centre.
• Researches on records management issues
• Benchmarks on best practices
• Collaborates with other records management professionals to share information on records management issues.
• Undertakes any other related duties as may be assigned by management.
