Botswana National Olympic Committee invites applications for the position of Communications and Marketing Manager

Job summary
To promote and position the image and brand of BNOC locally, regionally and internationally through effective communication, branding and marketing, stakeholder relationship management programmes, projects and activities that increase awareness of Botswana as a leading elite sporting nation.

Key responsibilities
• Participates in the development of corporate strategies and objectives in fulfillment of the BNOC’s mandate;
• Develops and implements the BNOC communication,marketing,stakeholder and public relations strategies that promote the reputation and corporate image of the organization as a leading elite sport development organizations
• Develops and manages/monitoring the channels and content of internal and external communication to ensure effective and efficient transfer of information to staff and key stakeholders;
• Recommends the development of an advertising and media campaign within the allocated budget, to increase public awareness of the activities of the BNOC,
• Coordinates the production and distribution of BNOC publications and solicits pertinent information from staff and other stakeholders;
• Responsible for the development and delivery of a direct communications strategy which achieves partner acquisition and retention
• Ensure that strong relationship are developed and maintained between BNOC and key stakeholders sponsors;
• Ensures developments and implementation of a corporate social responsibility programme, which enhances BNOC’s image and has a positive impact on the targeted communities;
• Develops and implements sponsorship programmes and events/promotions that are aligned with the mandate of the BNOC;
• Works with the CEO and Senior Human Resources Officer internal communications strategy;
• Manages and develops the department’s human capital, instilling a high performance culture in order to achieve the BNOC’ strategic objectives
Position requirements
Education & Training Qualifications:
BA Degree in communications, Public Relations, Marketing and or Advertising or related field. A post graduate qualification and/or Advertising or related field. A post graduate qualification and/or membership of professional communications/Marketing /PR/Advertising bodies would be added advantages.
Experience
At least 5 years relevant post qualification experience, two of which should have been at managerial level.
