MRI Botswana Limited, a leading health care services company is looking for seasoned and self-driven individuals to fill the following vacant positions
Registered Nurse - Onsite medical clinics x1
This position reports to the medical officer on site
Key Accountabilities:
• Consults and treats all cases of reported illnesses brought to the medical facility within their scope of practice
• Prescribes the appropriate medication for medical cases attended to
• Conducts ongoing disease screening
• Seeks second opinion from the onsite medical officer where necessary
• Refers all the cases above their scope to the onsite medical officer
• Provides pre hospital emergency services expertise at an intermediate life support level
• Responds to emergencies and provides emergency medical services
• Ensures onsite facilities; supplies and services are maintained at the highest operational level including equipment and vehicle
• Consults and escalates complex medical cases to the medical officer
• Provides road and air lift evacuations as necessary
Qualifications & experience required:
• Degree or diploma in nursing
• KITSO training
• BLS for health care providers
• Proof of registration with the nursing and midwifery council of Botswana (NMCB)
• 3 years post qualification experience working as a nurse
Added advantage:
• Post basic qu8alification: Anesthesia, Midwifery, ICU, Theatre, Emergency, Health and Safety certificates
• HIV Management certificate
• Experience in a clinic environment, casualty (emergency) or ICU nursing experience in mining operation
