The university is looking for qualified and experienced individuals for the position stated below:
The position is based at BIUST campus, palapye.
The position is initially offered on a three year fixed contract and the successful individuals may later convert to pensionable terms of employment if they qualify for conversion.
Human Resources
Executive Secretary: Ref: HR/05 14 (2 Positions)
Main purpose of the job
To manage the office of the deputy vice chancellors through the provision of a full range of secretarial and administrative support services.
Academic qualifications
A minimum of a higher national diploma in secretarial studies or related field. A university degree will be an added advantage.
Experience
• At least 8 (eight) years experience, of which two years must have been in a similar or equivalent role within a service based knowledge or academic environment
The position requires the following competencies/skills:
• Excellent communication skills (verbal and written).
• Excellent interpersonal skills, with a positive and professional attitude
• Excellent skills in MS word, Excel, PowerPoint, access
• Team orientated with high ethical, personal standards values.
• Ability to gather info, compose correspondence, prepare reports, handle multiple tasks with accuracy and meet demanding schedules.
