The ministry of labour and home affairs exists to provide civil registration, migration, labour and skills development services, and coordinate gender policy.
We seek to recruit a highly motivated officer within the ministry to fill the following positions:

Gender Affairs Department
Post: Assistant Director - Human Resources Management & Administration -1 post
Qualification
To be considered for appointment to this position, candidates must have a degree in public administration, human resource management or related field
Experience: Seven (7) years relevant post experience, two (2) of which should have been served at D3 (middle management level)
Salary scale: D2-(P210, 180-P232, 056)
Leave: 30 working days
Benefits:
• Optional contributory medical aid scheme (government contributes 50% and employee 50%)
• Contributory pension fund (employee contributes 5% and government 15%)
Main purpose of the job:
To coordinate and monitor the implement of human resource functions, policies, strategies, rules and regulations
Duties:
• Directs, manages and supervises the human resource division
• Provides professional advice and guidance on human resource administration and management
• Administers human resource management policies, rules and regulations governing the terms and conditions of the government services such as general orders, pensions act, employment act, public service act etc
• Interprets terms and conditions of service to staff and advices the management on matters of human resources management and development
• Develops, introduces and maintains sound operational guidelines for the department based on established public service regulations and policies
• Co-ordinates and manages the functions of finance and accounts and office operations in the department
• Manages the implementation of budget and accounts, records management, security services and transport services
• Develops and maintains an effective communication system through which all matters are brought to attention of the approved staff welfare and safety regulations
• Facilitates responses to audit and public accounts queries
• Undertakes any other related duties as directed by management
