Post: Principal Quantity Surveyor 1
Salary: D2 (P 210 180-P232 056 per annum)
Qualification: degree in quantity surveying
Experience: at least 10 years experience in the field, two of which must have been served as principal quantity surveyor II D3 for 2 years or equivalent
Leave: 30 working days per annum
Benefits: Contributory pension scheme (government pays 15% employee pays 5%) optional medical aid scheme (government pays 50% employee pays 50%)

Main purpose of the job
• To manage, coordinate and direct the architectural services
Duties
• Coordinates information from the other professionals and ensures that it is incorporated to form comprehensive designs/plans such that the final physical structures do not have defects.
• Manages and directs the architecture and services division to ensure efficient and effective implementation of building projects.
• Develops services standards, regulation and guidelines to guide the implementation of projects for effective service delivery
• Provides professional advice on architecture and building issues to key stakeholders.
• Supervises the enforcement of building control act to ensure the private developers comply with the building standards and codes
• Undertakes any related duties as directed by management.
