Mobile Maintenance Superintendent

DML holds an attractive portfolio of mineral assets and its management team has a strong track record of success in finding and developing minerals resources.
As we gear our company for growth and success we would like you to join us in the role of Mobile Maintenance Superintendent. This role will be based at the Boseto Copper Project with suitable housing and roster provided to the successful candidate.
The position
Reporting to the Maintenance Manager, the mobile maintenance superintendent will ensure that the mobile fleet is properly maintained and operational services are scheduled as necessary, training of tradesperson is undertaken in a systematic manner to better equip the mine production operations.
Key roles and responsibility
• Ensure company mandated safety and environmental compliance for all mining related activities
• To manage the mobile fleet equipment selection and procurement processes
• To develop short, medium and long term replacement strategy for mobile fleet equipment
• To develop a fleet maintenance strategy and ensure that key performance indicators are achieved and sustained
• Ensure that mobile fleet availability, utilization is maintenance to ensure continuous mine operations
• To monitor fleet performance and develop appropriate preventative maintenance and condition monitoring programmes.
• To ensure that there is an elaborate mobile fleet data management system to aid in an effective decision making
Qualification and experience
• The successful candidate will have an engineering degree or trade qualification or any other related qualification with over 10 years supervisory experience in a mobile fleet workshop
• Sound knowledge of heavy equipment services schedules and part requirements is desirable
• Proficiency with the use of Pronto software is a pre-requisite
• The incumbent should have Caterpillar, Liebherr and Sandvik mining equipment product and technical knowledge
