Vacancy-Programme Manager
Information, Communication and Technology
An exciting opportunity has arisen at Botswana Innovation Hub; innovation is happening here, come and join us as a programme manager- information, communication and technology (ICT). This position is for a fixed term of 24 months.
Reporting to the director: Marketing, registration and ICT, your main responsibilities will be:
• To plan, coordinate and supervise the BIH ICT infrastructure design and construction/installation to ensure that projects are completed on time, in accordance with specifications, and within budget
• To coordinate ICT related projects with suppliers, business units on a continuous basis and deliver them within time, acceptable quality and within schedule
• To implement approved significant and major ICT changes within the business
Your key result areas will include the following:
• Client/relationship management
• Delivery and supplier management
• Project management for all ICT activities at the HUB
• Professional staff development and performance management
Academic requirements
• At least a bachelors degree in ICT or engineering
• Masters degree or MBA will be an added advantage
Experience
• Must have experience of working in a project environment and an understanding of ICT and business strategies, proven experience in a managerial capacity or specialist ICT field
• Must have professional competency in a business specialism, i.e. project management, ITIL, etc
• Must have experience of team leading skills and be able to demonstrate an effective coaching style
• Membership to a professional body like institute of project management will be added advantage
Other requirements
• Valid driver’s license
• Good knowledge of Microsoft office suite
• Good knowledge of project management tools like PRINCE 2, PMBOK, etc.
