Applications are invited from suitably qualified citizens for the above position in the ministry of health, corporate services.
Salary: D2 (P210, 180-P232,056) per annum
Benefits: A. Optional Contributory Medical Aid Scheme (Government pays 50% Employee 50%) B. Contributory Pension Fund Scheme (Government pays 15% Employee 5% of the basic salary)
Leave: 30 working days per annum.
Qualifications: Degree in Human Resources Management/Public Administration/Business Administration or equivalent. A master’s degree in the same field would be an added advantage.
Experience: At least 10 years experience in a Human Resource environment or related field of which 2 years should have been served as Chief Administration officer I (D3) for Public Officer or its equivalent in the Parastatal or Private Sector.
Scope of the job
To manage and coordinate ministerial/Departmental human resources management and development functions.
Key performance areas
1. Coordinates and monitors the implementation of human resources management and development policies, strategies, rules and regulations,
2. Interprets terms and conditions of service to staff and advice the Directors on matter of human resources management and development.
3. Manages and supervises Human Resources Management functions such as recruitment and selection, staff training and development, industrial relations, terms and conditions of service, staff discipline.
4. Liaises with all departments on all matters pertaining to personnel administrations to ensure that action is not delayed
5. Provides guidance and supervision to all staff on areas such as career planning development, employment and advancement.
6. Undertakes any other duties as assigned by management.
