Botswana Accountancy Oversight Authority
The Botswana Accountancy Oversight Authority (BAOA) has recently been established under the Financial Reporting Act, 2010 of Botswana as the independent oversight body of the accounting and auditing profession in the country. The principal objectives of the Authority is to provide oversight to the accounting and auditing service and promote the standard, quality and credibility of providing financial and non-financial information by entities. Its functions include standard setting, financial reporting and audit practice reviews, enforcement of compliance and oversight over the education and training of professional accountants in Botswana.

BAOA invites dynamic, self-motivated and qualified citizens of Botswana to apply for the following positions:
Personal Assistant
Main purpose of the job
To provide secretarial and administrative functions to the Executives Directors.
Duties key Performance Areas
a) Retrieves and collates information as required from file and documents as requested by the Executive Directors.
b) Maintains Executive Director’s diaries and schedules appointments and meetings using own initiatives based on personal knowledge of their workload and current issues of importance; reminds Executive Directors of appointments and briefs them on matters to the considered before the schedule meetings.
c) Facilitates attendance of conferences/seminars by Executive Directors by ensuring that relevant material is collated and made available in good time.
d) Receiving all visitor and telephone calls to the Executive Directors.
e) Ensures all official and social obligations for the Executive Directors are met by arranging luncheons, leading invites, making proper sitting arrangements and ensuring that all details are covered.
f) Arranges hotel and travel reservations for the Executive Directors in consultation with them and ensures that all necessary documents and related material they need for travel are in order.
g) Reviews outgoing correspondence for signature of the supervisor for proper format, conformance with procedural instructions, grammar typographical accuracy and necessary attachments. Advise writer on inadequacies.
h) Acts as secretary for Management meetings, prepares agenda, convenes meetings, takes notes and prepares action sheets and minutes, and ensures required follow-up action is taken by responsible officers.
i) Ensures that application and retirement f imprest for onward transmission to the Chief Executive Officer for authorization are prepared.
j) Undertake any other official duties as assigned by management.

Qualifications
National Diploma/Higher National Diploma in Secretarial Studies/good in Microsoft suites.
Experience
A minimum of five (5) years of relevant experience
Remuneration
The Authority offers a competitive market related packages, commensurate with qualifications and experience.
