Botswana Accountancy Oversight Authority
The Botswana Accountancy Oversight Authority (BAOA) has recently been established under the Financial Reporting Act, 2010 of Botswana as the independent oversight body of the accounting and auditing profession in the country. The principal objectives of the Authority is to provide oversight to the accounting and auditing service and promote the standard, quality and credibility of providing financial and non-financial information by entities. Its functions include standard setting, financial reporting and audit practice reviews, enforcement of compliance and oversight over the education and training of professional accountants in Botswana.

BAOA invites dynamic, self-motivated and qualified citizens of Botswana to apply for the following positions:
Human Resources Manager
Main purpose of the job
a) To provide strategic leadership in the formulation of value-adding human capital management policy strategies, and policies and programmes that will enable The Authority to optimize returns on human capital investment.
b) To develop, recommend and implement remuneration, benefits and reward management policies and procedures to ensure equitable implementation of pay and benefits so as to contribute to retention of qualified high caliber staff.
c) To coordinate The Authority’s performance management system and procedures to enhance employee productivity.
Key Performance Areas
a) Design and manage the training needs of staff.
b) Design and implement an effective and equitable performance appraisal system
c) Development of competitive remuneration and reward strategies
d) Equitable implementation of The Authority salaries and benefits structures
e) Equitable application of the terms and conditions of service
f) Provision and delivery of quality service
g) Provision of quality data and advice
h) Investigate and make recommendations on staff grievances and disciplinary cases.
i) Execute Human Resource function of training and development, and employee relations
j) Management of HR Information system.
Position Requirements
Qualification
A Bachelors Degree in Human Resources Management or related field. A master’s degree will be an added advantage.
Experience
Minimum of seven (7) years post qualifications experience in diverse human resource practices: two of which should have been at manager or supervisory level with hands an experience on administration of staff remuneration, including performance based pay and benefits.

c) Analytical and critical thinking

e) Good communication skills
f) Change and business orientation.
g) Numerical and diagnostic skills
h) Strategic thinking
Remuneration
The Authority offers a competitive market related packages, commensurate with qualifications and experience.
