Principal Operations Officer - Property Development & Management
The position calls for an energetic and organized individual, who has excellent project management skills and is highly experience in property management.
The job
Reporting to the Manager-Property division, the incumbent will be responsible for managing the allocated property portfolio of BDC subsidiary companies profitably and also for growing the portfolio within set benchmarks. He/she will also be required to assist in the development of new property investment strategies for the corporation and its subsidiaries, in addition to evaluating/appraising BDC property projects and once approved, managing such projects. Additionally, the candidate is expected to advice on all matters relating to the physical development of BDC properties, such as drawings, plans, bills, technical reports, contracts, and any other documentation relating to property development and management. The candidate will also be expected to carry out internal property valuations.
The person
The position requires an individual with a minimum of Degree in Real Estate/Land Management, plus five (5) years post qualification experience, in property management. Membership of a professional Real Estate institute is a requirement. In addition, the incumbent should have experience in construction project management and project appraisal. He/she should also have experience in strategic planning.

To be considered, the person should demonstrate initiative, integrity and trustworthiness. In addition to being highly computer literate. He/she should also posses good organizational, people management, people management, team leadership and communication skills
