Tender offers are invited for the Provision of Refuse Collection in part of Ramotswa Area 2 and 3 and disposal of the same at South East District Council landfill for a period of 10 months.
This tender is reserved for 100% citizen contractors only. Tenderers who are domiciled in Botswana must, in order to be considered for award of the contract, be registered with Public Procurement and Asset Disposal Board (PPADB) in the category of Code: 103, Sub-Code: 02.
A non-refundable fee of P200.00 (Two Hundred Pula only) payable in cash made out in favour of the South East District Council is required prior to collection of the Tender Documents. Payment shall be made at the South East District Council, Revenue Office No. 118, 1st Floor, new RAC during working hours from 07:30 to 15:30.
The physical address for collection of Tender Documents is: Environmental Health offices situated next to Roads offices, old RAC, Ramotswa. Documents may be collected during working hours from 07:30 to 12:45 and from 13:45 to 16:30 from 29 April 2013. Queries relating to the issue of these documents may be addressed to: Ms M. Gumede, Telephone No. +267 5381200, Fax No. +267 5391203. Queries should be made fourteen (14) days before the closing date of the tender.
A compulsory pre-tender meeting and site visit with representatives of the Procuring Department will take place at South East District Council, Architecture and Buildings next to Mechanical Workshop on 15 May 2013 starting at 09:00. Tenderers arc advised to provide their own transport.
One (1) original and two (2) copies of Tender Documents shall be delivered to the Adjudication Secretary's Office No. 2 (Porta Cabin behind Treasury Department). Bids shall be submitted in a sealed envelope clearly marked: "Tender No. SEDC/PH/14/2013 - A Contract for Refuse Collection and Disposal Services in South East District (Ramotswa area 2 and 3)". The closing time for receipt of tender offers is 09:00 on 28 May 2013. Late tender offers will not be accepted. Tenders shall be opened at 09:00 on the same day in the Architecture and Buildings Conference Room in the presence of tenderers wishing to attend.
The Local Authorities Procurement and Asset Disposal Act's Standardised Conditions of Tender apply to this procurement, for which all the applicable Tender Data is contained in the Tender Documents. Notwithstanding anything in the foregoing, South East District Council is not bound to accept the lowest or any tender offer.
