Tender offers are invited for the provision of Supply, Installation and Configuration of Local Area Network (LAN) for the Department of Broadcasting Services offices in Ghanzi and Maun.
This tender is reserved for 100% citizen owned companies. To be considered for award of the contract, bidders shall be registered with the Public Procurement and Asset Disposal Board in the following categories: Code: 123 (Network and Facilities Management Services) Sub-Code: 01 (Network Design, Installation, Configuration and Maintenance) and Code: 203 (ICT and Telecommunication) Sub-Code: 01 (Computer Equipment, Spares and Accessories) and shall be appropriately licensed to trade, manufacture and/or supply the items and be in possession of requisite documentation to import, manufacture and/or sell such items according to the laws of Botswana. Preferences in accordance with the provisions of the Public Procurement and Asset Disposal Act. 2002 shall apply to the contract, as per the applicable Presidential Directives.
A non-refundable deposit of P250.00 payable in cash made out in favour of the Government of Botswana is required on collection of the Tender Documents. Payments will be made at Revenue Office No. 029, Administration Block, Ground Floor.
The physical address for collection of Tender Documents is: Mass Media Complex, Comer Willie Seboni Drive, Western-By-Pass, Plot No. 37795, Phase 2, Gaborone West at Supplies Office No. 016 as from 29 April 2013. Documents may be collected during working hours on weekdays from 08:00 to 12:30 and from 13:45 to 16:00. A compulsory pre-tender meeting (site visit) with representatives of the Procuring Department will take place as per the table below: - Location: Ghanzi; Date: 14/05/2013; Time (Hours): 08:30 - 09:30; - Location: Maun; Date: 14/05/2013; Time (Hours): 14:00 - 15:00.
One (1) original tender plus seven (7) copies in sealed envelopes marked: "Tender No. SP/MTC 027/2013-2014 - A Contract for the Supply, Installation and Configuration of Local Area Network (LAN) for Department of Broadcasting Services Offices" shall be delivered to: Department of Broadcasting Services, Mass Media Complex, Plot No. 39775, Wellie Seboni, Road (Western-Bypass), Gaborone, Botswana. A Tender Box is located at Supplies Office No. 011, Transport Block. One (1) original must be marked "Original" and will be retained by MTC for reference purposes. The closing time for receipt of tender offers is 10:00 on 27 May 2013. Late tender offers will not be accepted. Telegraphic, telex, telephonic or emailed tenders will not be considered.
The Public Procurement and Asset Disposal Board's Standardised Conditions of Tender apply to this procurement, for which all the applicable Tender Data is contained in the Tender Documents. Notwithstanding anything in the foregoing, the Government of Botswana is not bound to accept the lowest or any tender offer.
