Tender offers are invited for the Supply and Delivery of Various Items of Stores to Botswana Police Service.
Tender offers are invited from local suppliers/manufacturers with PPADB Registration Certificates: Code: 204, Sub-Code: 01 and 04 or Code: 205, Sub-Code: 03 and 05 or Code: 213, Sub-Code: 08. Bidders are required, in order to be considered for award of the contract, to be appropriately licensed to trade, manufacture and/or supply the items and be in possession of requisite documentation to import, manufacture and/or sell such items according to the laws of Botswana. Where applicable, the Economic Diversification Drive (EDD) will be applied in the evaluation of the tender Bidders must, in order to be considered for preferential treatment, submit an EDD registration certificate, and should make an undertaking that the required items/supplies shall be produced locally. The Botswana Police Service reserves the right to visit facilities/factories during production and any violation of the EDD conditions shall lead to immediate termination of the whole contract and the next compliant and lowest best priced bid may be considered for award of the tender.
A non-refundable deposit of P250.00 payable in cash only made out in favour of the Government of Botswana is required on collection of the Tender Documents.
The physical address for collection of Tender Documents is: Quartermaster Stores, Botswana Police Service, Metsimotlhabe Road, Village, Gaborone. Documents may be collected during working hours from 08:00 to 16:30 on weekdays with effect from Monday, 2nd April 2013. Queries relating to the issue of these documents may be addressed to: ASP G. A compulsory pre-tender meeting with representatives of the Procuring Department will take place at Quartermaster Stores, Conference Room on Wednesday, 15 May 2013 starting at 10:00.
Names and addresses of bidders must be reflected on the envelopes. Two identical (2) original tenders plus seven (7) copies in sealed envelopes marked: รข??Tender No. DJS/MTC/POL 012/2013-2014 - A Two Year Framework Contract for the Supply and Delivery of Various Items Of Stores to Botswana Police Service" shall be delivered to: The Board Secretary, Public Procurement and Asset Disposal Board, Private Bag 0058, Gaborone, Plot No. 8913, Gaborone West Industrial Site, Botswana. The two (2) originals must be marked "Original" and one will be retained by DJS/MTC for reference purposes. The closing time for receipt of tender offers is 10:00 on Thursday, 30 May 2013. Late tender offers will not be accepted. Bidders willing to provide samples are to submit them to Quartermaster Stores, Gaborone, Village, on/or before the closing date and time. Telegraphic, telex, telephonic or emailed tenders will not be accepted.
The Public Procurement and Asset Disposal Board's Standardised Conditions of Tender apply to this procurement, for which all the applicable Tender Data is contained in the Tender Documents. Notwithstanding anything in the foregoing, the Government of Botswana is not bound to accept the lowest or any tender offer.
