Tenders are invited for the Supply and Delivery of Sports Attire and Equipment for the Service. Botswana Police Service is undertaking a tender for the procurement of sports attire and equipment, as described in the Tender Specifications. The proposals will be the basis for selecting a suitable supplier.
Tenders are invited for an open domestic competitive bidding from reputable, recognized registered local contractors. Bidders must be registered with PPADB in at least one of the following codes: Code 211: General Supplies, Sub Code 04; Uniform, Protective Clothing and General Clothing Code 211: General Supplies, Sub Code 07; Sports and Recreation Equipment, Spares and Accessories Code 213: General Manufacturers/Producers, Sub-Code 09; Garments. Preferential Treatment Where applicable, the Economic Diversification Drive (EDD) may be applied in the evaluation of the tender. Bidders must in order to be considered for preferential treatment submits an EDD registration certificate and should make an undertaking that the required items/supplies shall be produced locally. The Botswana Police Service reserves the right to visit facilities/factories during production and any violation of the EDD conditions shall lead to immediate termination of the whole contract and the next compliant and lowest priced best bidder may be considered for the award of the tender.
A non-refundable deposit of P250.00 paid in cash payable in favour of the Government of Botswana is required on collection of the Tender Documents.
The physical address for collection of Tender Documents is: Botswana Police College near Mogobane/Ranaka turn-off, along the A1 Road, Administration Block Reception, Ground Floor. Documents may be collected during working hours after 07:30 to 12:45 and from 13:45 to 16:30 on weekdays with effect from Monday, 22 April 2013. A compulsory pre-tender meeting with representatives of the Procuring Department will take place at Botswana Police College Conference Room on Tuesday, 7 May 2013 starting at 10:00.
Names and addresses of bidders should be reflected on the outer envelopes. One (1) original Tender Document plus seven (7) copies in sealed envelopes marked: "Tender No. DJS/MTC/ POL 015/2013-2014 - A Supplies Contract for the Procurement Sports Equipment and Attire for Botswana Police Service SARPCCO Games in Namibia" shall be delivered to: The Board Secretary, Public Procurement and Asset Disposal Board, Private Bag 0058, Gaborone, Plot No. 8913, Maakgadigau Way, Gaborone West Industrial Area, Gaborone, Botswana. The original must be marked "Original" and copies marked "Copies". The closing time for receipt of tender offers is 10:00 on Thursday, 23 May 2013. Tenders will be opened on the same day, in the presence of those who wish to attend and the location is Tender Opening Room, PPADB. Late tender offers will not be accepted. Telegraphic, telex, telephonic and emailed tenders will not be considered.
The Public Procurement and Asset Disposal Board's Standardised Conditions of Tender apply to this procurement, for which all the applicable Tender Data is contained in the Tender Documents. Notwithstanding anything in the foregoing, the Government of Botswana is not bound to accept the lowest or any tender offer. The tenderer shall bear the costs for the preparation of the tender.
