General Mechanics X 7
Position outputs
• Responsible for repairs, maintenance and troubleshooting of earthmoving equipment machines systems.
• Advise customers and operates on the correct useof caterpillar machinery.
• Communicate job status to internal customers and supervisors
• Prepare parts orders and complete daily service reports
• Assist with learner development through on- line training.
Requirements
• National craft certificate in heavy plant mechanics or equivalent
• Minimum of N3 certificate or equivalent
• Sound technical knowledge of earthmoving equipment machines systems.
• Diagnostics ability
• Must be familiar with caterpillar machines (experience on mining trucks is an added advantage.)
• Ability to work accurately and diligently to ensure quality repairs to machines.
• Sound verbal communication skills (discuss and explain repairs to customers)
• Ability to follow instructions and cope with job demands
• Must be able to work independently and work overtime
