Botswana Development Corporation Limited
Is Strategy second nature to you?

Chief Strategy Officer
(Re-Advertisement)
Botswana Development Corporation’s new strategic objectives are not for the faint hearted. Think mega projects, tripling the balance sheet and citizen empowerment and you’ll get the picture. As part of their long-term strategy they are looking for a strategic thinker to join their team to drive and ensure that strategic momentum is maintained and progress made. The role will be attractive to an adept project manager who is able to operate at the most senior level within business.

You will have to be a bit of a maverick for this role which requires you to work closely with the Managing Director to add value to the strategic planning process and drive strategic initiatives. This requires you to be able to think outside of the box by being creative, yet balance this with a practical orientation in order to affect plans and provide structure to the corporation’s strategic imperatives by providing implementation support and assisting with the co-ordination, tracking and reporting on the organization’s projects, through tools like the balance scorecard.

A master’s degree in strategic management, economics, business administration or equivalent (preferably with a project management qualification) is required and this needs to be supported by a minimum of 6 years senior management experience in a strategic planning management role.

To apply please email kefilwe@hrmc.co.bw with full CV and details of current salary, quoting BDC0413 in the subject box. The closing date for applications is 12 April 2013. If you have not received an email response within 48 hours, please call Kefilwe Tomeletso.
