Tender offers are invited for the Provision of Uniforms and Protective Clothing, Including Footwear for City of Francistown Council Employees
Bidders who are domiciled in Botswana shall, in order to be considered for award of the contract, be appropriately licensed to trade, manufacture and/or supply the items and be in possession of requisite documentation to import, manufacture and/or sell such items according to the Local Authorities Procurement and Asset Disposal Act. Price margin preference will be applied to bids which qualify under Economic Diversification Drive Scheme in accordance with the Presidential Directive II (a) of 2010.
A non-refundable deposit of P200.00 payable in cash is required before collection of the Tender Documents. Payments should be made at Office No. 871, Revenue Office, Ground Floor, Civic Centre, City of Francistown Council. Revenue Office closes at 16:00.
The physical address for collection of Tender Documents is: Procurement and Asset Disposal Division, Light Industrial Area, Plot No. 1865, (Works Depot) opposite Francistown Stadium, Makgadikgadi Drive. Documents may be collected during working hours from 07:30 to 12:45 and from 13:45 to 16:30 except during holidays and weekends with effect from 18 March 2013. Tender Documents should be submitted as follows: One (1) marked "Original" and four (4) marked ""Copies" in a plain sealed envelope clearly marked: “Tender No. COF/F&DP/12/2013 - Supply and Delivery of Uniforms and Protective Clothing for City of Francistown Council" and addressed to: The Town Clerk, Private Bag 40, Francistown" and shall be delivered to: Office No. 827, Ground Floor, Civic Centre, along Blue Jacket Street, Francistown. The closing time for receipt of tender offers is 09:00 on 16 April 2013. Opening of tender will be done at 09:15 on the same day in the Civic Hall. Civic Centre. Late tender offers will not be accepted. Telephonic, telegraphic, telex, facsimile or emailed tender offers will not be accepted. The bidders shall bear all costs associated with the preparation and submission of tender and the City of Francistown Council hereinafter will under no circumstances be responsible or liable for these costs, regardless of the conduct or outcome of the tender process.
The Local Authorities Procurement and Asset Disposal Standardised Conditions of tender apply to this procurement, for which all the applicable Tender Data is contained in the Tender Documents. Notwithstanding anything in the foregoing, City of Francistown Council is not bound to accept the lowest or any tender offer.
