Botswana Meat Commission invites companies to tender for the Collection and Disposal of Waste from the Maun Abattoir. The plant approximately kills 80 cattle per day, and employs approximately 100 persons. The plant generates waste streams which need to be collected and taken off site. Generally the waste streams will consist of: - Domestic type wastes generated from the canteen (food waste etc.) Domestic type dry wastes such as bottles, plastics, waste paper and cardboard; - Packaging waste from stores received; - Scrap meat packaging such as plastics and cardboard; - Maintenance and engineering waste such as scrap metal, oils and greases and the like Sewage waste from the amenities and toilets; - Boiler ash.

Botswana Meat Commission invites locally citizen owned companies and registered and verifiable companies to tender.

A P1, 000.00 non refundable deposit at the cashier, Botswana Meat Commission in Lobatse.

A compulsory site inspection will be held on Monday 8 April 2013 at the Commission premises situated in Maun Botswana.

Completed tender documents shall be submitted in plain sealed envelopes clearly marked; TENDER NO: 140/03/2013-Waste Disposal-BMC Maun Addressed to: The Secretary, Management Tender Committee, Botswana Meat Commission, Private Bag 4, Lobatse, Botswana. Tender documents are to be deposited in the BMC Tender Box not later than 12:00 on Tuesday 30 April 2013. Bidders are informed that the tender box will be closed immediately at 12:00 and no late submissions will be allowed under any circumstances. The public tender opening will be on the same date at 12:15 after closing, in the BMC Boardroom in Lobatse. Interested tenderers are at liberty to attend.
